Research interests

My scientific focus is especially on the ecology of human-influenced habitats in both tropical and moderate regions, including urban ecology, urban restoration and invasion biology. Basic part of my research work is its practical orientation and application.

Research projects

since 11/2013: Green SURGE - Green Infrastructure and Urban Biodiversity for Sustainable Urban Development and the Green Economy. Funded by the European Commission Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

read more: Workpackage "Assessment of biocultural diversity"
