Green SURGE - Green Infrastructure and Urban Biodiversity for Sustainable Urban Development and the Green Economy
This transdisciplinary project on EU-level aims to identify and develop different aspects of urban green infrastructure as a conceptual framework for urban planning issues. We work in 20 model cities, whereas five (including Berlin) serve to answer specific research questions, collect comparable field data and involve local stakeholders. Biocultural diversity: Assessment of perception and preference of biodiversity of urban green infrastructure, depending on different cultural and social resident groups
Urban Learning Labs: Identification of best practice examples concerning planning, development and use of urban green infrastructure together with local actors
